Recruitment advertising for agencies placing newcomers.

For recruitment and staffing agencies. Post each client’s jobs under the client’s own name, where people new to Canada are looking, and run every candidate for every client from one Recruiter Desk. Each posting has a dated, printable record of advertisement.

Your Recruiter Desk

A workspace built around clients, not one company. Open it in the morning and it tells you what to do first.

  • Clients

Each client has its own profile, postings and candidates. Pick a client and your whole desk narrows to them until you switch back.

  • Today

New candidates to review, postings waiting for payment, closing dates and renewals coming up, and how many of each role you have filled.

  • Candidates

One pipeline for every posting: new, viewed, shortlisted, hired. Download resumes and cover sheets. Candidates get an email when their status changes.

  • Billing

Every subscription and GST receipt in one list, so billing a client back is quick.

Postings that answer what newcomers ask

People new to Canada read a posting looking for a few specific answers. The posting form asks for them, and shows you how each client’s posting will look before you publish.

  • Will they take me without Canadian experience?

Say that experience is an asset, not a requirement, or that the client will train. It shows on the posting as a clear label.

  • What will I really earn?

List pay and hours, and job seekers see an estimate of monthly pay before tax, worked out from your own numbers.

  • Can I use my own language?

List the languages used at work. Other languages show as a label people can look for.

  • Is this employer open to newcomers?

Tick who the posting welcomes, such as new immigrants or refugees. Job seekers can filter for it.

Who your clients can reach

Every client you add is in front of the same people: newcomers to Canada at every stage of their career.

  • Students & part-time

International and local students looking for part-time work around their classes.

  • Internships & Co-ops

People who want their first Canadian experience through an internship, co-op or apprenticeship.

  • Entry-level

Recent graduates and career changers who are ready to start and learn on the job.

  • Some experience

People with a few months to a few years of work, in Canada or abroad.

  • Experienced professionals

Trained professionals and tradespeople re-establishing their career in Canada.

Three steps per client

Set up once, then post for any client in minutes.

  1. Create your agency account

One login for your whole agency.

  2. Add a client

Their legal name, the name candidates know them by, logo and work locations. Candidates see the client as the employer.

  3. Post for that client

Choose the client, say where the job is, what it pays and who it welcomes, then publish for $9.95 + GST, renewing at $10.45 per month until you cancel.

Your client, not your agency, leads every posting

Each client profile carries the name candidates would recognise. It leads the posting and the company page, with the legal name underneath. Your agency stays in the background.

What $10.45 per month gets you

Your posting stays live for the whole period you paid for and renews on its own. Pause it when you have enough applicants, or cancel the moment the role is filled. You are never locked in.

Employers posting for their own company: $14.95 + GST per posting per month ($15.70). The rate depends on the type of account that pays.

Need to know

What agencies ask before they run their clients’ postings from one account.

Is this account for agencies like mine?

Yes, if you recruit for other employers: recruitment agencies, staffing firms and anyone else who posts jobs on behalf of more than one employer. Hiring only for your own company? Use an employer account.

How many clients can one login manage?

As many as you need. Each client gets its own profile with name, logo, locations and description, and every posting goes out under the client's name, not yours.

Can a client log in to see their own candidates?

No. Candidates arrive in your Recruiter Desk. You review them, move them through your pipeline, download resumes and send your client what they need. Clients do not have their own login.

How do I switch between clients?

Choose a client on the Clients page, or use the client name at the top of your Recruiter Desk. Today and Postings then show only that client until you switch back to all clients. The posting form always asks which client a posting is for.

Does Newcomer check work permits?

No. Newcomer is a job board. We do not check immigration status and we do not give immigration advice. If a role needs a particular work authorization, say so under Requirements in the posting.

Can I use a posting for LMIA recruitment advertising?

Newcomer is a Canadian job board, and every posting has a printable record of advertisement. Use Print on the posting page: the record shows the job advertisement, the date it was posted, how many days it has been published up to the date printed, its status (for example "Active until cancelled"), the date printed and the web address where it is advertised. You can keep that record with your recruitment file. Newcomer is not a government service; whether your advertising meets the requirements of a Labour Market Impact Assessment is decided by Employment and Social Development Canada, so check the current rules on canada.ca.

How does billing work across clients?

Every posting is $9.95 + GST ($10.45) per month, billed to your agency account. You get one list of subscriptions and receipts for every client, so billing a client back is quick.

Is there a volume discount?

No. It is a flat $9.95 + GST per posting per month, however many you run, with no contract.
