Health Care Aide

*Duties*

• Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
• Monitor and observe patients? conditions, including vital signs, and medication administration
• Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer?s by implementing specialized memory care techniques and ensuring a safe environment for those with cognitive impairments
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation to meet individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Support the overall well-being of residents through compassionate caregiving, engaging in meaningful activities, and fostering a positive environment

*Skills*

• Strong ability to observe patient conditions attentively and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
• Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
• Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer?s care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
• Ability to operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and engaging patients effectively
